I’m sure many of you out there own a netbook like i do, and did the unthinkable and tried to play video games on them. Netbooks are supposed to be low powered internet browsing and emailing machines and not some super gaming system.
None the less i’ve tried and had mixed results with my Acer Aspire one. It seems that if the games are not too graphically challenging, they work pretty good if you lower all the graphic settings. One such triumph was Lego Star Wars. FPS Shooters you can forget almost completely.
One day i came across a software program called GMABooster that looks like it can help can us with our gaming woes. Its not some super miracle that’ll have you playing Call Of Duty, but it might be just enough to get that game that just need a little bit more graphics power.
This small utility is designed to improve graphic performance on a majority of netbooks by up to 2.4x of extra processing power for your computer’s integrated graphics engine.
GMABooster is a boost solution for Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator series (currently supported chipsets: GMA 950 (mobile Intel® 945 family) and GMA 900 (mobile Intel® 915 family)). It compatible with Windows® Vista/7 and Mac® OS X.
