It looks like thin is in with MP3 players lately, and Samsung has released their latest 'thin' creation the YP-K3.
Measuring in at just 0.27 " thick the YP-K3 definitely qualifies as thin, but that's not its only virtues. The unit also sports a 1.8 " full color LED screen, light-emitting touch sensitive controls, FM radio, and is available in three colors and two capacity sizes.
Included with the YP-K3 is a set of earbuds, application/driver CD, user manual, and a proprietary USB cable.
The YP-3 is a sleek looking unit with a mirror like finish and chrome accents. The finish does tend to pickup finger prints relatively easy though.
Size wise the unit measures 3.8 by 1.7 by 0.27 inches, and weighs only 1.6 ounces. The 1.8 " screen has a resolution of 220 by 176 pixels with 262,000 colors.
Besides black the player is also available in green and red, and is available in 2GB and 4GB sizes.
The K3 is flash based and can play MP3, WMA, and DRM-Janus WMA files. It also can display photos in JPEG format. Another handy feature is the built in FM tuner so you can listen to the radio.
One of the cooler features of the YP-K3 is its light-emitting touch sensitive controls. These controls help you easily navigate the menu system. The controls are a bit sensitive though, and you can occasionally skip or select a menu item by accident.
