Now that MP3 players are common place, consumers are looking for more than a player that can play music. With the amount of video media available on the web, it's a natural choice to add video capabilities to MP3 players. Today we take a look at one such player; the new XVDO MP4 F610 Player from X-micro.
The XVDO MP4 F610 Player comes complete with manual, installation disk, headphones, lanyard, USB extension cord, and a velvet carrying pouch.
The XVDO MP4 Player is available in various capacities; 512MG, 1GB and 2GB sizes. Batteries are of no concern to the XVDO Mp4 Player, it has a built in lithium ion battery. To recharge the unit, one only has to plug the unit to a computer with a free USB slot. Recharging time is fast and a full charge takes between 2-2 1/2 hours. Once the unit is full charged you can expect about 12 hours play time for music and a little less for video.
The unit also sports a 1.5inch 128 by 128 262,000 full-color OLED LCD screen.
The XVDO Mp4 Player can play MP3 and WMA files. You can enhance your music with the built in equalizer. It also has support for ID3 tags.
On the video side the unit uses SMV files, which are a form of MP4 file. Included on the installation CD is conversion tool that lets you prepare you video files to this format for the player.
