The YP-T9 can also be used to view a photo album in JPEG format. Navigating between pictures is pretty slick, with a large photo preview box and a side scroll bar with three thumbnails.
Images can be zoomed and re-centered, and any JPEG on the YP-T9 can become the wallpaper during music playback.
The inclusion of flash games is something new and games are managed as individual files so new games can be downloaded to the device or deleted to make room for more. The unit comes with two games pre installed: Baseball and Pizza Delivery.
To round out the list of features, the player has an integrated FM tuner, text file browser and voice recorder that can record up to 192Kbps in MP3. The recorder can also be used to record from the FM tuner.
The text file browser can display basic text files. This features works best with short lists or memos rather than books in text format.
Conclusion:
The device's display is crisp and vibrant and the menu system is easy to navigate thanks to the ergonomic five-way control pad. Video playback is smooth even with the 15 fps limit and is a great way to watch TV shows on the go. Audio quality is up to par with the high quality we've come to expect from Samsung.
One small thing we didn't like about the player, is it has a proprietary USB interface. What this means is you can only use the supplied cord to transfer media files to the player. It's an odd choice compared to a standard Camera/MP3 player USB cable.
Samsung's YP-T9 MP3 player is one of the few MP3 players on the market, that properly implements a full range of multimedia capabilities.
Pros:
-Great looking
-Long Battery Life
-Large Screen
-Plays a large variety of multimedia
-FM tuner and voice recorder
