It seems like the evolution of the MP3 player has seen every innovation possible that could be incorporated into it. Today you can find MP3 players with FM radios, video, pictures, and even video games, etc. Has everything that can be done with MP3 been done? Well if you were to ask Samsung they would definitely say no.
Today we take a look at the latest MP3 creation from Samsung, their YP-K5 4GB MP3 player. This uniquely designed MP3 player not only boasts a huge 4 gigabytes of storage, but has built-in, slide out stereo speakers.
Included with the YP-K5 is a set of earbuds, application/driver CD, user manual, and a USB cable.
The player is a little smaller than a standard deck of cards. Its very light weight and easily fits in a shirt pocket for on the go entertainment.
Depending on how much music you want to bring with you, the YP-K5 is available in 1 gigabyte and 4 gigabyte sizes.
The unit is flash based and can play MP3's and WMA files. Using headphones the player can provide up to 30 hours of playback time. When using the speakers however, the battery life is cut down to 6 hours of play back.
The YP-K5 won't cost you much on batteries, thanks to its Built-in Li-Poly rechargeable battery. Simply plug the provided USB cable into a computers USB port, and you'll start the recharging process.
