When it comes to connectivity the f1080 has HDMI, Component Video, Composite Video, and Coaxial Digital Audio Outputs.
The remote is a small and easy to use unit with all your typically found functions. On screen menus and setup are easy to follow and navigate.
When it comes to video quality the f1080 delivers a great picture, color and contrast. Upscaling works very well and it's hard to tell between Samsungs upsampled near high definition and true high definition.
Some things we'd like to have seen on the f1080 were some sort of display on the unit. Granted the design probably prohibits the possibility of a display, but it would have been nice to have. The second feature we'd like to have seen is a USB port. A USB port is a handy way of transferring quickly audio and video files with a USB Flash drive between a computer and the DVD player without the need of burning the data on a disc.
All in all the Samsung f1080 is a nice little unit that combines style with plenty of features.
