On the back of the unit we have many types of connections available to us. These include the HDMI jack, which is capable of outputting both high definition video up to 1080p, at either 24 or 60 frames per second and multichannel high resolution audio. When it comes to analog video, we have a component video jack, a S-Video and composite video jacks.
On the audio side of things we have the HDMI jack as mentioned, optical and coaxial for digital audio outputs. For analog we have 5.1 multichannel analog audio outputs, and a standard stereo analog output.
Testing:
Image quality on the BD-P1200 Blu ray player is fantastic, as was evident in all the Blu ray movies we tossed at it. The level of detail and sharpness of the picture was phenomenal. Load times on this player are much faster than previous first generation Blu ray players we've tried.
The Samsung BD-P1200 Blu-ray DVD Player is a sleek looking unit that would be at home in any entertainment system. Although a bit on the pricy side, the quality and features you get with player makes this player a good candidate.
Pros:
-Great looking
-HQV video processor
-HDMI
-DVI-D and VGA connection
Cons:
-Price
-Does not support DTS-HD or Dolby TrueHD.
