Today we take a look at the new affordably price YP-U2 1GB MP3 Player that's going for around 70-80 US dollars. This sleek looking player not only boasts a gigabyte of storage, but can also play other formats other than MP3, including Ogg Vorbis and WMA.
The YP-U2 is a flash drive sized player available in 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB sizes. This sleek looking player comes in two colors; white and black.
The YP-U2 comes with Driver/Software CD, instructions, and earbuds.
The unit will work with Windows 98, 2000, XP and is UMS compatible on Mac.
The unit features a white on black, 128x64 pixels LED screen which is very easy to read even during low lighting conditions. Navigation is very easy with the four-way navigation pad surrounding the Menu button.
The YP-U2 not only plays music but also has an FM tuner and voice recorder built in. The voice recorder records in Wav file format and quality settings are 32kbs, 64kbs and 128kbs. As for the FM tuner, it has a 20 handy auto-scannable presets.
One of the more interesting features of the YP-U2 is its built in rechargeable battery. The rechargeable battery can provide
up to 13 hours of play time. Recharging the unit is also unique. To recharge the unit you simple plug it into a free USB port on your computer.
