Moving on to the bottom of the Verticool II, we get a better look at the all copper bottom. The base came with a plastic covering to protect the surface from scratches.
The copper base is a good sized slab that's polished and is relatively smooth with almost no discernable marks.
Installation of the cooler will require the removal of the motherboard to fasten the provided bottom bracket to the heatsink.
To calculate the idle temperatures, The computer was run for 10 minutes on its own before writing the temperature down.
Next, using Sandra burn in wizard the computer was allowed to run 30 minutes and the results were recorded.
We will be comparing the Verticool II to a stock heatsink.
According to the results we see the Verticool II performed much better than stock. Full load results were quite surprising for a cooler capable of achieving only 19 dBA of noise.
The Verticool II is a great cooler for the consumer who's looking for quite operation and great performance.
