Some people say bigger is better, and when it comes to heat sinks Thermaltake seems to think so. Today we take a look at Thermaltakes's Big Typhoon heat sink. This monster of a heat sink/fan combo boasts a quiet 120mm fan rated 16dBA and six heatpipes. To top it off the Big Typhoon will fit Intel P4 LGA 775, AMD K7, and K8 processors.
The Big Typhoon heat sink comes with all the mounting hardware and a simple to follow instruction sheet. The heat sink is constructed with 142 aluminum fins and has six copper heat pipes connected to a solid copper base.
On top of the heat sink is a 120mm fan capable of pushing out 54.4 CFM of air at 1300 RPM. As mentioned above this fan is rated at a low noise rating of 16 dBA. The fan tailed with a 3 pin connector and has a fan guard included.
