Diagnosing a faulty power supply can be a difficult process, but thanks to Casebuy in the past couple of years it's been made an easier process thanks to their EZ Power Supply Tester.
Recently they've released their third incarnation of the tester with added improvements called the EZ Power Supply Tester 3. The new tester now features an LCD screen and can now display voltage within +/- 0.1V.
The tester is a one piece unit with connections on each end, the sides, and a LED display on top. The unit is about the size of a deck of cards and has a brushed aluminum casing colored black. Included with the unit is an instruction sheet.
Like the previous testers it will test the following power supply rails: +3.3V, -12V, PG (Power Good) +12V +5VSB (5 Volt Standby), -5V and +5V.
The EZ Power Supply Tester 3 can test various types of inputs also. This includes a 20/24 pin motherboard connector, a Molex connector, a SATA connector, a floppy drive connector, a PCIe connector, and a connector for testing Pentium/Athlon/Xeon power supplies.
