With the increased performance being seen in today's high end videocards, the need for better cooling is even more of a necessity.
Stock GPU cooling may be adequate, but there are some after market coolers that can achieve better results.
Today we take a look at one such aftermarket GPU cooler called the Kuformula VF1 Plus Series from Sytrin that looks promising.
The Kuformula VF1 Plus Series features heatpipes and multi-functional cross flow fan.
Inside the box you have everything you need to install the kit on to one ATI or Nvidia videocard. The kit includes heatsink, Crossflow fan, memory chip heatsinks, fan bracket, fan speed controller, screws, and simple to follow instructions.
The Kuformula VF1 Plus heat sink features a copper core with dual heatpipes and aluminum fins. The heat sink weighs in at 242g.
For those of you who don't know what a heatpipe is:
A heat pipe is a vacuum tight copper tube, with a wick and cooling fluid inside.
As one heatsink gets hot, the heatpipe heats up as well. This turns the liquid into a high pressure vapor that moves toward the cooler side of the heatpipe, as the vapor reaches the cooler heatsink, it condenses and releases the heat to that heatsink. The wick helps move the liquid.
