As mentioned before the 243t screen can be rotated 178' degrees, but most users will find the 90' degree portrait mode the most useful. Included with the monitor is the software program called "Pivot Pro" that controls the viewing of the monitor in different degrees of rotation. The software allows you to use short cuts to rotate the display (not the physical screen, you'll have to do that yourself.) 90, 180, and 270 degrees as well as returning it back to regular viewing mode.
Above is a shot of the Analog and Digital connections. You can also see how thick the screen is from this shot. With a tape measure, the screen's thickness is just about 2 1/2".
We tested the 243t with everything from regular daily use (web browsing, graphics applications, word, etc.) to gaming with first person shooters like Starwars Battlefront, FarCry, and Doom 3. The display is crisp and colors are vibrant, and there was no apparent ghosting. The SyncMaster 243t really shines when you use it to watch your DVD's on your computer. The 24" screen is just large enough to make a nice addition to a small personal home theater system.
The SyncMaster 243t LCD Monitor is a great looking monitor that would look great on any desktop. If you're looking for a really Big LCD Monitor you might want to check out the Samsung SyncMaster 243t LCD Monitor.
