On the end of the hub is the last USB port. I'm not sure why the port is located here instead of beside the others. The only conclusion i came up with was so you could use one of those fat USB flash drives in it so it wouldn't impede with the other ports.
So how does this thing connect to the computer you may ask? Well on the back of the hub is a jack that the included cable plugs into. After that it's only a matter of plugging the opposite end of the cable into the computers USB ports.
Yes i did say ports. The hub requires two USB ports to function properly. "Wait a second i want more ports not less!" Well if you think about it, one of the connections on the cable actual acts like a USB extension cord for the 2.0 port. While the other powers the other four.
So in the end the Mobile 5 Port Hub USB 2.0 actually only gives you an extra four USB 1.1 ports in exchange for one of your computers 2.0 ports, three if you remember your using up that 2.0 port to plug the unit in. One thing to remember though is not all USB powered devices require the faster USB port. Things like keyboards, mice, do not require the faster connection.
The unit is available for about 20$ Canadian/15$ US.
