One of the major components of the Socket GPS Nav Kit is the MyNavigator software. The software is available in two versions, North American and Western Europe. The software requirements for installation are: Pocket PC: 2002, 2003, 2003SE, or Windows 98SE, Me, 2000, XP.
One of the key features of the MyNavigator software is its ability to provide full turn-by-turn
navigation instructions with human voice prompts that let you keep your eyes on your road while driving. Another nice feature is the software will automatically re-calculate your route if you veer off course. Yet another powerful feature is the ability to mark points of interest from the database that will make finding local ATM, gas stations, parking and restaurant locations easy.
One point to mention is the unit doesn't have a magnetic backing or suction cup to keep the unit from sliding around while using it in car. This would be a handy feature so you could stick it on the dash.
