As mentioned before the CLP-550 uses Samsung's NO NOIS technology to make printing virtually silent. This is achieved by
storing the toner cartridges in a fixed position that transfers color onto the Image Transfer Band in one simple step via a smoothly rotating OPC drum, resulting in a printer free from loud mechanical noise and vibration.
The paper capacity for the CLP-550 is 250 sheets for the Cassette Tray and 100 sheets for the Multi Purpose Tray. The printer can also be optionally expanded to a full capacity of 850 sheets with the addition of a second Cassette tray.
One cool feature of the CLP-550 is it's capable of Duplex printing. Duplex printing allows you to print on both sides of a page and saves on paper use.
When it came to printing quality the results were very good, even when we tried printing photos on standard paper. When we used quality paper, the image quality was even better. The CLP-550 NO NOIS system really works and the printer barely makes any noise when the printer is functioning. The CLP-550 would be well suited in any office needing quality color printing.
