Flipping over the Steelpad S & S you'll find the back of the mouse pad has been treated with a 'gummy' like coating. This coating prevents the mouse pad from sliding around on any surface you use it on.
As an added bonus the Steelpad S & S comes with a carrying case. This nylon case fits the Steelpad S&S snuggly and features a small pocket on the back for added storage.
Included with the Steelpad S & S is a set of Steelpad Padsurfers. Padsurfers are special 'tabs' that you stick on to the bottom of your mouse feet. Once you have them on they will optimize the mouse feel and glide effect of the mouse pad.
TESTING
To put the pad through its paces i played various first person shooters such as UT 2004, Doom 3, etc over a period of a few days.
The Steelpad S & S allows you to make quick precise movements that really help out during game play. This pad is the smoothest and slickest mouse pad i've tried yet, and even beats my long time favorite mousepad the icemat.
The over sized pad also helped avoid dragging the mouse off the pad altogether with its increased size.
