In the photo above we have the standard play, rewind, fast forward, and stop buttons along with a button called Easy Q.
Easy Q Allows the novice user to start using the camcorder out of the box with the best overall settings pre-configured.
Moving to the top of the SCD-105 from top to bottom, we have the Nite Pix button, the Zoom, and the photo button. The nite pix button puts the camcorder in a night vision mode allowing you to record in near dark. The zoom button obviously zooms in and out and the photo button is to take a still picture.
Underneath the lens the SCD-105 has a built in video light in case you need to cast more light on your subject. The light is quite bright and does work very well in low light situations.
On the side of the camera, underneath the side panel we find all the camcorders inputs and outputs. from the top we have a USB and a Firewire ports, A/V plug for composite video, S-Video port, and an external microphone jack.
