With digital cameras rising in popularity lately, the need to organize all those pictures you've taken becomes a must.
One solution is JASC paintshop Photo Album 5. This handy software lets you organize, edit, and download pictures from your camera.
Once you open the box containing Photo Album 5 you'll find the installation CD and a user's manual. At first glance the 170 ish page manual may put some people off, but the manual is easy to read and very comprehensive. Every aspect of the Photo Album 5 is detailed in the book.
Once you pop the CD in, installation takes few minutes and a reboot is in order.
The first screen to appear when you start Photo Album 5 is the quick start page. A choice of six options is clearly marked, and each option has an icon representing it.
One of particular interest is the camera button. This option will let you view photos on a digital camera plugged to the computer as well as download them.
Above we have the organize page which allows you to easily view thumbnails of your photographs. The left side has a file folder browser to easily navigate to where you pictures are on your hard drive. You can also search for photos using keywords. Double clicking on a photo will select it and bring it up into the Enhance option page.
