We're all familiar with the concept of adding extra cooling fans to our desktop computers, but adding extra cooling for your laptop? Recently a few companies have created products to help get extra cooling by pulling the heat away from the bottom of laptops. One such company is Evercool with their NP-101 notebook pad.
The NP-101 is constructed completely of dark charcoal grey coloured plastic. It's about the same size as a standard laptop with a thickness of about 1 inch. On the top of the pad are two vents to let the four fans draw the heat down from the bottom of a laptop.
There is no need to plug in a power cord to an AC outlet, as the NP-101 gets all it's power from a USB port.
This could be a good thing as it makes it portable, but if you have a minimum of 2 USB ports like i have on my laptop you'll probably need to get yourself an external USB hub for other USB devices.
