I'd like to thank Eileen of Samsung Canada for providing us with the ML-2552W Laser Printer for review.
With the cost of replacement ink for inkjet printers being so high, the best solution for an office is go with a laser printer. Not only can they print faster, their cost per sheet is lower than inkjet printers. Also, the price of laser printers have dropped dramatically over the past couple years along with the price of ink cartridges.
Today we take a look at Samsung's ML-2552W Laser Printer that not only prints but has wireless network capabilities to boot.
The heart of the ML-2552W is its 166mhz ppc processor and it comes with 16 megs of memory that can be expanded to 144 megs.
Printing wise, the printer can print at a max resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi, and at a speed of twenty pages per minute in A4, or 22 pages per minute for letter size.
Included with the printer is a toner cartridge which should yield you about five thousand pages.
One of the cooler functions of the ML-2552w is it's ability to print in duplex mode. Duplex mode allows you to print on both sides of a page.
Another cool feature is Toner Saver mode. This mode allows you to extend the life of the toner cartridge by 40%, but at a lower print quality. We tried the toner saver mode and print quality is still very good and presentable.
