Webcams have been out for quite a long time now and manufacturers are looking for ways to breathe new life into their products. Today we take a look at a webcam that is also a digital camera, the Logitech 420 Click Smart.
The Click Smart 420 comes with quite a bit of stuff. You get a driver and software CD, a manual, USB cord, camera strap with lens cap, the camera, a removable camera base, and yes batteries are included!
The camera itself is kind of a strange bulbous looking thing. Not as sleek as some other webcams, but you get used to the look.
As for the camera specs they sound pretty good : 8 MB internal Flash memory, estimated 80 pictures in 640x480 pixels,
and 70 seconds of video in 320x240 pixels. Also through the use of software you can get a max pixel resolution of up to 1.3 megapixels (1280x960).
Also included in the unit is a built in flash and a microphone. A Self-timer (10 seconds) is also included and file formats are jpg and avi for video capture.
