I’d like to thank Nikki of Thermaltake for providing us the LanMoto for review.
With the popularity of LAN parties on the rise, the need for a light portable system is sought after more than ever.
One way to lighten your load is to switch from the typical heavy steel computer case and move to an aluminum version.
Today we take a look at a new aluminum case from Thermaltake called the Lanmoto.
This new ultra light weight aluminum case not only looks good but also has some security features too.
The new Lanmoto is made from a light weight aluminum that weighs in at only 5 kg! Even though the case is this light, the case is solidly constructed. The Lanmoto is available four different colors: Red, Black, Blue, and Silver.
Thermaltake has also used a mirror finish technique on the case to give it extra shine.
The case includes a two channel fan speed controller that has a digital display that shows the fans RPMs.
The Controller also has two USB and one firewire ports integrated into the unit.
Behind the door the case has three 5.25" bays (not including the one with the fan controller) and two 3.5" bays.
Also behind the door is the location of the power and reboot switch. For added security, the front door can be locked closed with the included key.
Here we get a glimpse at the huge 120mm fan at the front that's capable of speeds of 2000 RPM. A fan filter is also attached to the door to prevent dust from getting into the case.
