On one side of the KVM is the socket to connect to the keyboard and on the other is a socket for the mouse.
Each socket is color coded to limit confusion.
Moving on to the front of the KVM Switch is the socket for plugging in the monitor.
The KVM also has cables already integrated in the unit, and does away with having to buy a bunch of extra cables.
The integrated KVM cables are quite long and measure 1.2 meters in length. This should be sufficiently long enough to setup your systems the way you like.
The 2 port KVM Switch from Bytecc is a great way save some money and desktop space with the ability to switch between computers.
Pros:
-Very easy to install
-Saves desk space
-Saves the cost of an extra monitor, keyboard, mouse
-Cables integrated in the unit
-Cables are long
