On one side of the KVM is the socket to connect to the keyboard and on the other is a socket for the mouse.
Each socket is color coded to limit confusion.
Moving on to the front of the KVM Switch is the socket for plugging in the monitor.
The KVM also has cables already integrated in the unit, and does away with having to buy a bunch of extra cables.
The integrated KVM cables are quite long and measure 1.2 meters in length. This should be sufficiently long enough to setup your systems the way you like.
