I'd like to thank Thermaltake for providing us with the XJOG USB Light with Clip for review.
Today we take a look at a new product from Thermaltake the XJOG USB light. This little gadget plugs into a free USB port on your computer and provides a handy little light that can be clipped to you notebook computer or where ever it would be handy.
The package includes the LED light, a universal clip, and carrying case.
Installation is super easy and only requires the USB plug to be attached to a free USB port, and then switched on.
The LED light provides gentle illumination for work or play without disturbing anyone.
The XJOG is available with a white light or blue light, and is rated to average 8,000 hours of use.
The include clip has a swivel attachment that lets you position the LED light any way you like.
As for the clip itself, Thermaltake claims it's a "Universal clip". Universal to a point, more like a 1/4 inch width.
Any more and you could break it.
As you can see from the picture above, the clip works by pulling the two plastic clipping parts apart. This causes stress on the plastic, and may break over prolonged use.
I would have rather seen a clothes pin style mechanism to fasten the clip.
