The LAN configuration software lets you configure the unit to work with your wireless router. All the standard options and setting are included such as WEP encryption, Channel, type, etc.
Below the settings is a handy graph of your link status. This will tell your signal strength as well as link quality.
The WEP security feature supports 64 bit or 128 bit encryption but remember WEP alone is not total security. Hackers have already figured out how to hack WEP so don't count on this alone.
The antenna range is very good and i could get a signal all over the office with a strong signal.
Overall i was happy with the adapter and with the ease of installation through USB you can't go wrong.
