I'd like to thank Thermaltake for providing us with the Extreme Volcano 12 for review.
Thermaltake's Volcano series of heatsink has been around many years now and has gone through many reincarnations.
Today we take a look at the most recent version the totally redesigned Extreme Volcano 12.
One of the first things you notice about the Extreme Volcano 12 is the fan. This 80mm x 80mm fan has only 3 fan blades but still pushes out 26.5 CFM to 72.92 of air. The new design is supposed to increase air flow and eliminate air turbulence.
As for the heatsink it's self, it's constructed completely of high density copper and features 66 fins to dissipate the heat. The design of heatsink has similar quality construction to that of the Silent Boost, and SLK's.
