The bottom of the heatsink is quite smooth with little or no micro scratches and the fins are nicely aligned.
One of the included speed controllers is the 3.5" front bezel model decked out in silvery chrome.
The wire connected to the controller is very long and should be long enough for full tower cases.
A different alternative of controlling the fan is the rear pci slot controller as pictured above.
To calculate the idle temperatures, I gave the computer 10 minutes on its own before recording the temperature down.
Next, using Sandra burn in wizard I allowed it to run 30 minutes and recorded the readings.
The Venus 12 is quite capable of keeping the heat at bay. As for the lower fan speed setting it doesn't seem as capable and i would suggest users to run the fan somewhere in the middle of High and Low settings for effective silent/cooling.
