On the back of the unit we have the plug-in jack, on/off switch, voltage selector switch, and fan speed control switch.
There are plenty air holes on the back to let out the hot air.
The fan speed controller switch allows you to dial in the desired speed of the fan.
The switch can be set to one three choices to choose from: low, high and auto. The auto mode lets the Taurus select which speed is appropriate depending on the temperature.
As a precaution the Taurus has over voltage protection that provides short circuit protection on all output levels.
Testing:
Over a period of a week i jotted down the voltage readings several times a day and averaged out the results.
+12 volts averaged 12.342, +5 volts, came to 5.01, and the +3.3 volts came to 3.29. Nothing to be concerned about and right around the specifications.
The Taurus 450 Watt silent switching Power Supply offers plenty of power and control over fan noise and is a good choice for users with a lot of case fans and peripherials.
Pros:
-Fan Speed controller
-Quiet
-Huge 120mm fan
-Over voltage protection
