Today we take a look at Coolmax's 300 Watt Taurus silent switching Power Supply. On top of the huge 120mm fan to cool the unit it has a 2 speed fan controller and an auto-thermal controller.
The power supply comes equipped with various extra wire attachments for your AMD or Pentium needs, power cord, and owner's manual. As you can see from the above photo the main power connector to the motherboard is kept tidy with some black sleeving.
Our Taurus power supply came with an all chrome finish though the unit is also available in classic black.
The 120mm Fan on the unit was a first for me. Most other power supplies come with 80mm fans or multiple 80mm fans. The Taurus on the other hand relies exclusively on the single 120mm fan.
