I'd like to thank Thermaltake for providing us with the Silent Boost K8 for review.
Today we take a look at the AMD Athlon 64 and Opteron proccessor version of the Silent Boost the new Silent Boost K8.
The K8 version uses the same oddly shaped fan as it's regular athlon version. This uniquely designed fan frame significantly reduce the noise level of the fan. The "slots" allow for Multi-directional air intake which increases airflow while keeping the relative noise at minimal.
As for the heatsink it's self, it's constructed completely of copper and features 46 fins to dissipate the heat. The design of heatsink is similar to it's name sake only bigger to fit the Athlon 64 Opteron configuration.
