Here we a see the solid construction of the heatsink in all its copper goodness.
Test System
AMD XP 2600+ 333 MHz (AIUHB)
Asus A7N8X Deluxe rev 2.0
Corsair PC2700 XMS 512 MEGS
Beantech igloo 7 aluminum case
Maxtor Diamond 9 30 gig harddrive.
To calculate the idle temperatures, I gave the computer 10 minutes on its own before recording the temperature down.
Next, using Sandra burn in wizard I allowed it to run 30 minutes and recorded the readings.

Many readers have expressed that they wanted to see a comparison between the Silent Boost and a SLK-800. So i've provided the results of a Slk-800 below. Please be informed that the slk-800 was matched with the 'monster' Vantec Tornado Fan that can push out 84 CFM of air! Also the fan was connected to a fan speed controller that allowed the fan to be set at 42, 63, and 84 CFM.
Unlike the silent Boost setup, the top 2 settings for the SLK-800's fan are very loud.
I have to say i'm quite impressed with the results of the Silent Boost. It performed very well and the fan was actually quiet. If your looking for a new heatsink i'd suggest checking out the Silent Boost.
