The software included is pretty straight forward. The download manager application allows you to drag and drop mp3’s or WMA's from a directory of your hard drive, to the irock 830’s memory.
I was able to get about 30 songs on average with the 830 irock. Not to bad that's about three albums.
Sound quality is very good with the unit and the equalizer presets are different enough from each other to give a good variation in shaping the music.
Unlike the 500 and 700 series from irock this unit has no SmartMedia Card slot for adding more memory. This is one of the trade offs with this unit. You have to decide if the FM radio and id3 tag compatibility, etc; are more important to you than storage capacity.
All in all if 30 songs on average seem enough, you should be very pleased with the units size and sound.
