I'd like to thank Danny of softtrading.info for providing us with the Icemat for review.
If you're a serious gamer any extra edge in performance and ease of game play is greatly welcome. Today we look at a product that claims to add greater accuracy and precision when using a mouse; the Icemat mousing surface.
The icemat differs from an ordinary mousepad in the fact that the Icemat is made from glass. A specially developed treatment
to the glass gives the icemat a smooth slick surface and makes it difficult to break.
The Icemat is about the size of your standard mouse pad with dimensions of 250 x 210 x 6.2 mm.
Underneath the pad, polyurethane feet ensure that the Icemat will stay in place.
To help the pad reach its ultimate slippery potential, a strip of teflon tape is provided to attach to the feet on the bottom of your mouse.
TESTING
To put the pad through its paces i spent a total of around 10-15 hours playing various first person shooter games such as Jedi Academy. The mouse moves very smoothly over the pad and i did notice an improvement on my game play.
The icemat is one of the smoothest and slickest high end mouse pads i've used to date.
