For the eight chipset heatsinks, i decide to use them on the cards memory chips.
You can also use them on your motherboard if you wish.
And above we have the finished installation. I really like the location of where the blower fan is. It blows directly on the card itself.
I tested both fans on full power and they were quite loud. The blower fan really whines. But this setting is only useful for when you're doing some hard core gaming. Once i turned the turbo off the blower fan the whine stopped. Setting the other fan to low or medium was very tolerable to the ear.
Considering VGA heatpipe coolers originally were designed to operate without fans for a silent solution, the addition of the fans is just icing on the cake.
Using a thermal probe we recorded these temperatures:
Giant 3 low setting with no turbo
Videocard-GPU-temperature - idle: 32c Load: 36c
Giant 3 Hi setting with turbo
Videocard-GPU-temperature - idle: 30.5c Load: 34c
The results we received were impressive. If you're looking for extreme vga cooling you might want to check out the
