A closer shot reveals the controller has a three speed setting for the reverflow fan and a turbo on/off switch for the blower fan for extra blowing power.
The kit will be installed on a Power color 9600 Pro 128.
Above is a picture of the first part of the installation.
Here the two heatpipes are now installed.
What is a heat pipe? A heat pipe is a vacuum tight copper tube, with a wick and cooling fluid inside. As one heatsink gets hot, the heatpipe heats up as well. This turns the liquid into a high pressure vapor that moves toward the cooler side of the heatpipe, as the vapor reaches the cooler heatsink, it condenses and releases the heat to that heatsink. The wick helps move the liquid.
