I’d like to thank Bas of Spire-Coolers for providing us with the NeonBar 2 Kit for review.
With the vast amount of cold cathode light kits to choose from, it may be a little daunting to select which one to get.
Today we test out Spire-Coolers NeonBar 2 and see what it has to offer.
The NeonBar 2 kit comes complete with everything needed to set the unit up.
It comes with instructions, an inverter that can control up to 2 cold cathode lights, one cold cathode, mounting accessories
and wiring with an on off switch.

If you want the switch to be convieniently located without opening up your side panel, your gonna have to modify your case.
Which means cutting a hole to size and installing the switch. It would of been nice if it was pre-installed on a
pci slot cover to simplify things.
Included with the kit as mentioned above is a package of mounting accessories. These are basically Velcro tabs with sticky backings, so you can place the light where ever you would like it in your case.
When turned on the NeonBar 2 casts off a nice ice blue glow. Other than the minor switch mounting thing, the NeonBar 2
does a good job of lighting up a case.
Pros:
- Easy setup
- Control up to 2 cold cathodes
- Clear instructions
Cons:
- switch needs to be installed if you want it convieniently located.
