Now, i've been using regular old cheapo mice for awhile now. It suddenly hit me that i should get with the times, when the only old part on my computer was a 5 year old mouse. : p
After checking out what was new in the world of mice, i settled on the Labtec optical mouse.
Just the thought of never cleaning out another mouse was bliss to me. Or avoiding the dreaded mouse stutter.
The Labtec optical mouse is a 3 button mouse with a scroll wheel. One of the buttons is actually part of the scroll wheel, you just push down on the wheel.
The mouse comes with software to program the scroll wheel button. Some of the options are: maximize window, copy, paste,
undo, minimize window, just to name a few
To test it out, i fired up Quake 3. I was able to do some spectacular 180 degree turns with the flip of the wrist.
That said, i was completely happy with this product.
How does it work?
Optical technology
Replaces the mouse's mechanical tracking system with an optical sensor that captures thousands of frames per second for superior, more accurate tracking.
There are no more moving parts in the mouse that wear out or accumulate dirt and dust.
Tracking is smoother, faster and more precise than with traditional mice.
