The irock 530 was provided to us by Alejandro of www.myirock.com . Much thanks to Alejandro!
With tons of mp3 players out there, it can be overwhelming to pick one.
Do you get an mp3 cd player? Maybe an mp3 jukebox? And then there’s the digital audio player.
Each has its own strengths and weaknesses. One choice is a 128 meg little unit called the irock 530 digital audio player.
After opening the packaging, I was surprised at how small the unit was.
The size of the 530 fits in the palm of your hand. It’s sleekly designed and colored silver with blue accents.
The front of the unit features a LED screen, which tells you what song is playing, and other features that are selected at the time.
Included with the unit was, a pair of ear phones, 1 AAA battery, usb cable, and a CD with programs used to transfer mp3’s to your unit.
The controls are a simple. It has a volume up and down, a multi-function jog button, a hold button and a mode button.
The unit has a smart media card slot that allows you to add an additional 128 megs of storage. That’s 256 megs or approx 4.5 hours of music! Other features that you can access through the mode button, are EQ, Bass boost, and repeat. The Equalizer is a preset affair with settings called normal, rock, classic and jazz. As for the bass boost, it’s one of the best bass boosts I’ve ever heard. The repeat feature has 3 settings repeat a song, repeat all, and random (my favorite).
The battery life is rated at 8 hours on one AAA battery.
