I was able to get about 32 songs on the 530 irock. Not bad, about 3 albums. The sound quality of the irock 530 is very good, better than on my YEPP CD mp3 player.
The software included is pretty straight forward. You get irocks audio manager which allows you to fill the unit with mp3’s, make play lists, burn cd’s, and rip cds. Another application, and by far my favorite over irocks audio manager, is the irock download manager. This nifty little application allows you to drag and drop mp3’s from a directory of your hard drive, to the irock 530’s memory.
Out of a whim, I found a very cool feature not listed in the instruction manual (I’m not sure though, I briefly skimmed through it). I decided to drag a file other than an mp3 file into the unit’s memory, and it worked. I was then able to take that “test” zipped file and drag it out of the irock 530 to a directory on my hard drive. So on top of it being an mp3 player, you could also use it as a portable 128 meg hard drive. Though each computer you use it on would need irock download manager installed.
In conclusion I was very impressed with the unit. I love the sound quality, its 128 megs, and its portability. If you’re looking for an mp3 player, I definitely recommend the irock 530.
Pros:
-Great price
-128 megs
-more storage with smart cards
-Easy to use
-Long battery life
