The FlowCooler was graciously provided to us by Bas of spire-coolers.
Now that hard drives are achieving faster RPM speeds, the call for a hard drive cooling system is needed more than ever. One contender for the hard drive cooling market, is spire-coolers “The FlowCooler”.
The model we received was made of a blue anodized aluminum, which to say the least has a spectacular finish. The FlowCooler was design to fit all brands of hard drives, so you should have no problems installing it on your hard drive.
Here's a shot of the two 9 CFM fans, that are the heart of the unit.

Installation was a breeze, I had the unit installed on my hard drive in about 5 minutes. One nice feature is the power cord has a pass-through Molex, so you don’t have to give up a power connector from your power supply.
At the moment, I do not possess a means to test the cooling efficiency of the FlowMaster.
On the other hand, I deduced that it works very well because my case temperature decreased by 2 degrees. Nice!
Pros:
- Affordable
- Easy installation
- Good design
- Increases hard drive life
