Electronic Arts has released Need for Speed 6: Hot Pursuit 2. The much anticipated continuation of the Need for Speed series.
In Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 you have to earn points from winning races to unlock extra cars and tracks.
The racing takes place in a variety of environments, including city and rural areas. On top of getting to race a myriad of exotic sports cars, you have the option of becoming a cop. Now playing the cop, doesn’t mean you’re stuck with typical police cars. You have your choice of sports car model police cars like the Lamborghini, Porsche, etc.

There are five different modes to playing the game: Hot Pursuit, Championship, Single Challenge, Quick Race and Multiplayer.
Quick Race:
This mode starts you off right into the action. Pick a car and a track and you’re off.
Hot Pursuit:
This mode provides the player with 33 different scenarios to battle through against the cops and other racers.
Championship:
This mode is similar but there is no police interference.
Single Race Challenge:
A customizable mode where you choose what you want in your game.
You have Single race, be the cop, and lap knockout where the last place car is eliminated till there is only one car left.
Some options are: difficulty, with or without police, with or without traffic, and number of opponents.
Multiplayer:
Multiplayer is an Internet or LAN multiplayer mode where there are no computer-controlled opponents, just players either friends or just fellow gamers from all over. The game has a nice multi-player menu, allowing you to join games or host your own.
