Here's a neat little mod, that allows you to use a 80mm fan on a 60mm heatsink
without using a fan adapter. The key is to use an 80mm fan grill.
After removing any previous fans from the heat sink, place the 80mm fan grill on top of the heatsink.
Now using some washers that fit the original heatsink screws, screw down the grill to the heatsink. You'll want to screw them in from within the first ring of the grill into the heatsink holes.

place the heatsink with the affixed fan on to the 80mm fan, and line up the grill holes to the fan holes.
Simply use some screws to fast the fan to the grill/heatsink.
